World Space Week

Worldwide, Worldwide

What is World Space Week?

World Space Week is an international celebration of all things SPACE, which focuses on science and technology and its role in the past, present and future of mankind.

World Space Week events can be organised by anyone, anywhere.

In previous years, space-related education, outreach, activities, drama and arts events have been held by space agencies, aerospace companies, schools, planetaria, museums, astronomy clubs and individuals all around the world.

How can I get involved?

For the week of 4-10 October every year, World Space Week encourages and supports ANYONE to create space education and outreach events.

Your event counts!

With or without our support, you can organise World Space Week events.

WSW is for everyone; from space agencies and aerospace companies to schools, outreach providers and parents.

All you have to do is register your event so we can add it to the official World Space Week calendar.

The theme of World Space Week 2019 is:

“The Moon: Gateway to the Stars”

This theme celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.

2019 is also the 20th anniversary celebration of UN-declared World Space Week.
