Conference of Astronomy and Physics Students

organised by

Institute of Physics

in Swansea, UK

The Conference of Astronomy and Physics Students (CAPS) is an annual student run conference hosted at different universities each year.

The conference will take place at Swansea University in South Wales between the 8-12 July 2019, the first time CAPS has come to Wales. Previous years have seen it hosted by UCL, Manchester, Glasgow and St Andrews, to name a few.

CAPS ’19 is a fantastic opportunity to expand your current knowledge of physics, find out where your degree can take you, present your hard work, and most importantly have fun and meet your peers from across the country. With lectures from the best of Welsh research, along with the strong presence of physics and astronomy here in the Wales, this year should prove to be the best CAPS so far.

The conference costs £70 for non-accommodated and £90 for accommodated. Accommodation includes 4 nights stay, from Monday 8th-Friday 12th in Swansea University’s on-site ensuite rooms, and includes breakfast, lunch and some evening meals.

Day tickets are £20 and £28 for IOP member and non members respectively. Day tickets include meals.
