About the Conference

The first virtual RAL Space Early Careers Conference will take place on Wednesday 1st December 13:00 - 18:00, featuring inspiring speakers and highlighting early careers opportunities in the space sector.

This inclusive and diverse event will cover an extensive range of topics around the theme of Environments: monitoring the Earth's environment from space, understanding the existing impact of space systems on our environment, and simulating space environments and impacts.

The conference will include speakers from RAL Space and the wider space c​om​munity, a keynote address, panel discussions and networking opportunities. ​The keynote talk will be given by Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, BBC Sky At Night presenter and STFC Council Member and there will be also an opportunity to ask questions of a panel of Early Careers professionals.

Who can attend?

This event is intended for anybody interested in space sector opportunities, in particular those in the early stages of their career: apprentices, undergraduates, graduates, Master's students, PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and more.
