Job Description

The PhD course in Astronomy Astrophysics and Space Science is a joint research program between the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, the Sapienza-University of Rome and the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF). At the end of the program PhD students will obtain a joint degree of the two Universities. 

The aim of the Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Science Ph.D. Program is the formation of young researchers at a highly competitive international level. In addition, the PhD aims to train managers in private/public organizations that deal with complex systems.  

The PhD program covers, in both their theoretical and observational aspects, almost all the topics of modern Astrophysics and Space Science in:

  • Galactic and Extragalactic Astrophysics
  • Gravitation and Cosmology
  • Solar, Planetary, and Stellar Physics
  • Space Sciences

PhD. Students will have the opportunity to access all the facilities from 5 different research institutes in the Area.
