Sen’s vision is to democratize space using video, to inform, educate, inspire and benefit all humanity.  Sen’s mission is to stream real-time videos from space to billions of people, providing unique perspectives of our ever-changing world and future in space. 

We have already deployed our first video cameras in Low Earth Orbit and are now scaling our systems. Sen's cameras will be deployed on both our own satellites and as hosted payloads on other spacecraft to capture the maximum number of perspectives of what's happening on Earth and in space, including deploying video cameras on and around the Moon and later Mars, providing multi-world data

The successful candidate for the Electronics Engineer position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Work closely within a small multidisciplinary team as an Electronics Engineer to help develop new sub-systems from concept through to flight 
  • Design analogue and digital electronic circuits to support high resolution video camera systems including power supplies, current monitoring, control interfaces, microcontrollers, ADCs, image sensors, FPGAs, flash storage, memory and high-speed serial links
  • Perform component selection, analysis, simulation, prototyping, schematic capture, board layout and routing, board bring-up, debug, test and verification
  • Coordinate fabrication and assembly as well as environmental and electromagnetic test and qualification of electronic prototypes and flight hardware with external subcontractors
  • Closely support or assist with microcontroller and FPGA firmware design, implementation and testing
  • Produce and maintain design documentation and test reports

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering or other relevant field
  • 2+ years of electronic design experience from concept through to production
  • Experience with electronic hardware debugging at a circuit level, electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, surface mount soldering and ESD precautions
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent electronics design tool
  • Familiarity with systems designed for high reliability or harsh environments in automotive, aerospace, defence or medical industries is favoured
  • Experience with embedded software development for RTOS in C/C++ preferred
  • Authorised to work in the UK 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment
  • Passion for space exploration
