Job Description

Are you a journalist with a background in science? In this role, you will produce multiple stories every day in a fast-paced news environment, so quick and accurate writing is essential. We’re looking for a science writer who can explain the latest breakthroughs, studies and statistics in a way that is clear, balanced and engaging. There are also opportunities to take part in our award-winning podcast, The Week Unwrapped, and to review restaurants, global travel destinations and more for our luxury-living section.

Person Specification

  • Passion for and deep understanding of scientific news.
  • Knowledge of general UK and international news.
  • Ability to turn complex information into clear and concise briefings.
  • Qualifications or experience in journalism and also, ideally, in science.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience preferred.
