QA and PA Support Technician

Job Description

Hours: Full time or Part time (minimum 30 hours per week)

Carrying out measurements of molecular contamination within the RAL Space Cleanrooms and for projects including:

• Positioning, retrieving and measuring witness windows in cleanrooms to meet QA and PA requirements.
• Cleaning of witness windows where required (training will be given)
• Supplying measurement data to applicable teams
• Generating reports from measurement data
• Contacting and liaising with other RAL Space groups using the facilities.
• Supporting PA and QA group members with inspections of delivered items
• Arranging inspections with applicable parties when required.
• Photographing items being inspected.
• Checking of key dimensions of items being inspected
• Checking and scanning of supplied documentation
• Writing up inspection reports.
• Monitoring work areas to identify possible failures to meet requirements
• It is expected that you will be flexible to carry out other activities where required by the QA and PA groups (time to be split 50% each for PA & QA).

• Experience in use of Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable:

• A minimum of 2 years work experience working in a technical organization or testing laboratory (scientific or engineering)
• Work experience in an ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System
• Experience in data entry or processing data.
• Experience of handling high value items or equipment
• Experience with photography inspections
• FTIR experience
