Job Description

We are seeking an IC Designer to join The Centre for Electronic Imaging (CEI). The CEI is a research centre within the School of Physical Sciences at the Open University. The CEI is a collaboration between the Open University and Teledyne e2v, a world-leading manufacturer of scientific and industrial image sensors.

You will be engaged in all aspects of the design, modelling, simulation and layout of new CMOS image sensors and their characterization and will interface with team members, external engineers and semiconductor foundries. You will also be involved in the dissemination of research results.

Unit: Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

Salary: £32,548 to £38,833

Person Specification

You will have a BSc in electronic engineering or a related subject with an excellent understanding of semiconductor physics, electronics and MOS circuits, and hands-on experience of the design and layout of analogue and digital CMOS circuits. Additionally, you will have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
