About the role
The European Space Agency (ESA) Business Applications (BA) UK Ambassador Platform Network (UK APN) has appointed the University of Leicester as one of a national network of five Regional Ambassador Platforms (RAPs) to act as broker between ESA and individuals, companies, agencies and organisations in the UK who can be supported by ESA Business Applications.
The University of Leicester is seeking to recruit a dynamic, delivery focused individual to manage this new and exciting programme. You will be responsible for business engagement and impact development; ESA BA collaboration with industry and government partners; relationships with key partners including corporate partners; and other forms of ESA activity generation from businesses and other external partners.

Reporting to the management team, the successful candidate will deliver the operational management and performance of the programme. The role holder will be responsible for delivering an impactful high quality offer to SMEs, high value business partnerships to ESA and building the successful engagement of stakeholders and end users to the programme.
You will be highly self-motivated and used to working in a target oriented environment. An excellent communicator and network builder, you will develop a high profile within the regional space industry,representing the programme, the East Midlands and North East Centres of Excellence (EMCoE and NECoE) and the partner organisations. With high levels of commercial awareness in the space sector, you will steer the programme to maximise regional impact.
This is a full-time fixed-term post for 18 months from the date of appointment.
