Job Summary
Using your SATCOM engineering knowledge and experience of Ground Segment or Management Segment or User Segment design and implementation, you’ll be working on the client side assessing and managing suppliers’ integration plans and requirements acceptance proposals. You’ll then support the physical implementation and acceptance processes.

Role Requirements
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Experience of planning integration activities for large complex SATCOM systems.
- Experience of SATCOM Ground, Management and User segments design and implementation.
- Knowledgeable in system engineering techniques and KiD guidance.
- Experience across the whole engineering lifecycle and particularly test and acceptance.
- Strong Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Stakeholder Management skills.
- Judgement to filter offered evidence to identify that which can be addressed personally as a generalist and that evidence that needs SME review.
- Experience of Testing and Acceptance into service in one or more satcom programmes.
Desirable
- Experience of MOD procurement including knowledge of DLODs.
- Knowledge of SKYNET as a system.
- Knowledge of Integrated Test, Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) activities on large projects.
- Experience in test and delivery of satellites and associated control elements
- Experience in test and delivery of Network management Systems, capability upgrades as well as RF systems.
- Experience of working in ambiguity and problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintain project integration plans in line with the SATCOM programme integration strategy.
- Support Project and Programme VV&T activities.
- Working with project engineering and management staff to ensure that projects are successfully delivered into operations.
- Identify and manage technical risks identifying mitigations and escalating where appropriate.
- Deliver integration activities in line with SATCOM Programme governance.
About you
You’ll have:
- Hands on system integration experience.
- Good knowledge in one or more areas of SATCOM systems i.e. Ground, Management, User Segments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Be a proficient IT user familiar with productivity apps and always willing to learn.
