About Us
SpaceCareers.uk is a non-profit organisation, dedicated to supporting students and professionals throughout their careers in the space sector. We advertise career opportunities, provide educational resources, and facilitate connections. Currently employing over 48,800 people, the UK space sector is growing rapidly, driven by the UK's National Space Strategy to "build one of the most innovative and attractive space economies in the world", and it needs talented and committed people to achieve this.

Helping you find your place in space
There’s a huge variety of people involved, from business analysts to chemists, project managers, journalists, engineers and lawyers, to name a few. Space is an incredibly varied sector and we can help you find your own path. We provide resources for skills and career development, a jobs board with all the latest opportunities in the sector, and run events across the country to raise awareness of career options and paths into them. We work with organisations and employers across the sector to improve access for everyone, aiming for our vision of a thriving and diverse workforce.
Our Journey
Launched by UKSEDS, the UK's national student space charity, in December 2015, and run entirely by volunteers, SpaceCareers.uk has been recognised by the Prime Minister with two of our founders receiving "Points of Light" awards for their outstanding work. Since we started, we have worked with over 400 organisations reaching over 600,000 users. In 2023, SpaceCareers.uk was redeveloped and set up as a non-for-profit organisation to expand its support to people and employers at all career levels, including those entering from other sectors. We’ve kept a strong link with UKSEDS and their diverse network of motivated students, and look forward to helping many more people find their place and grow in this exciting sector.
